About Me

salimucan: Chicago, Illinois, United States; Graduated from Marmara University with BS. in Biology in 1997. Moved to the United States in the same year. Attended John Carroll University for more than a year for post- baccalaureate teacher certification program. He is finishing his Master's Degree in charter school leadership at Central Michigan University in May 2011. Involved in the foundation of Horizon Science Academy Cleveland High School during proposal and start up phases. He also taught there for two years as a science teachers. Moved to Chicago in 2001 and was the principal of a private school, Science Academy of Chicago, for three years. Founding principal of Chicago Math and Science Academy Charter School. After serving as a principal for four years at CMSA, he moved to Concept Schools as the Vice President in August 2008. Loves to read and learn new things. Married with three daughters, Selma, Hatice, and Betul.
